Plug in unit use a standard 115 volt polarized receptacle. Unplug power head.

Rinse with cold water. Fine tune airflow by adjusting air valve. If magnetic impeller assembly does not rotate freely when clean and in good condition, a replacement should be installed.

Re install magnetic impeller assembly, impeller housing and lift tube adapter. Installation install adjustable diffuse snap rotating flow diffuse onto outside of power head exhaust outlet. Never point diffuse directly up. Attempts to do so may result in malfunction. Cover hole with enclosed venture plug.

Rotate exhaust outlet and gently uncouple impeller housing from power unit. Clockwise for less air, counterclockwise for more air. Set diffuse to agitate surface of water.

Adjust adapter pull down or push up to ensure proper sealing at under gravel lift tube. Position power cord in bracket groove. The custom air valve regulates air flow, the air filter eliminates noise and dust, and the intake strainer keeps debris from fouling the impeller.

Install power head locate power head over the under gravel lift tube to determine the proper height . Readjust flow diffuse and air valve as necessary. Press assembled air tube into bracket groove on adjustable bracket only alongside power cord. Make certain lift tube is cut straight so that lift tube adapter seals properly and power head remains level.

For maximum aeration and circulation, position power head so flow slightly breaks water surface. Note magnetic impeller assembly is not designed to be taken apart. Optimize flow pivot exhaust outlet from side to side and adjust flow diffuse.

Adjust lift tube adapter strainer slightly twist and slip lift tube adapter down into under gravel lift tube until properly seated. Install air control valve and tube push air valve onto one end of air tube and press other end firmly into venture collar. Note if no air is desired, do not install air tube. Install adjustable bracket slide adjustable bracket into channel on top of power head fits from either side to accommodate right or left mounting.

If water evaporates and tank level drops, water could be pumped out of the aquarium.
